ORLEN Neptun begins the preparation process of a service port for the Baltic West offshore wind farm
ORLEN Neptun has entered into a reservation agreement with the Kołobrzeg Sea Port Authority. The agreement includes the reservation of land in the Kołobrzeg Sea Port, which will enable the preparation of a service port for the operation of another ORLEN Group offshore wind farm developed within the phase II of offshore wind energy development – Baltic West.
Strengthening existing cooperation through the signed reservation agreement will enable analysis and development of the preliminary project documentation. This will allow to use the solutions best suited to the implementation of the offshore wind project – Baltic West. Gaining experiences such as this one can help unlock the port’s infrastructure potential for the implementation of future offshore wind projects in this part of the Baltic Sea.

Lithuania could become one of Europe’s strongest tech centres within just five years, according to the latest study by the association Unicorns Lithuania. The analysis shows that by 2030, the number of startups in the country could triple, the number of specialists employed could double, and the state budget could receive an additional €5 billion in tax revenue.
However, according to the association, such a breakthrough is only possible if the country actively fosters the creation of artificial intelligence (AI) startups. The study estimates that this would require €270 million in state investment by 2030.

During its visit to Spain, the Lithuanian delegation is working to strengthen the Port of Klaipėda’s international links by deepening cooperation with the Port of Valencia – one of the Mediterranean’s leading logistics hubs – through the exchange of expertise in infrastructure development and joint efforts to attract additional cargo flows.
“The Port of Klaipėda is of strategic importance to Lithuania, so decisions relating to it are taken with close attention to global market developments, key industry stakeholders and their experience. The implementers of the Nordic–Baltic Hydrogen Corridor project — the European gas transmission system operators “Conexus Baltic Grid” (Latvia), “Gasgrid Finland” (Finland), “Elering” (Estonia), “Amber Grid” (Lithuania), “GAZ‑SYSTEM” (Poland) and “ONTRAS” (Germany) — have launched a market survey, inviting market participants to express their views by completing a questionnaire on the cross‑border hydrogen infrastructure development project.
At this stage, market participants are invited to take part in shaping the development of the cross‑border hydrogen network by providing their perspectives on the creation of the Nordic–Baltic Hydrogen Corridor, which will strengthen Europe’s energy security and support the transition to a climate‑neutral economy.

Since its launch, GameTech, an initiative led by the Lithuanian government together with Startup Lithuania and powered by GameBCN, has acted as a catalyst for emerging and growing game studios, combining acceleration, international expertise, and ecosystem building. Across its three editions, the program has demonstrated both scale and depth in its impact. Over the course of the program’s history, more than 250 teams applied, reflecting the strong demand for specialized support in the gaming sector. From these, 32 teams were selected to participate, representing a diverse range of studios at different stages of development, from early concepts to companies preparing for global scale-up.
GameTech has delivered over 1,000 hours of mentoring and training, provided by an international network of industry experts covering game production, business development, publishing, monetization, and investment readiness. This intensive support has been complemented by 24 public events, including masterclasses, open days, demo days, and play-testing sessions, designed not only to accelerate teams but also to strengthen the broader Lithuanian gaming community and its visibility.

Cybernetica has won a procurement by the Government Office of Estonia to develop a prototype of a crisis-resilient work platform for the Government of the Republic of Estonia. The next-generation solution will replace the government’s existing session management and e-Cabinet systems, consolidate workflows related to government meetings, and ensure compliance with modern security and continuity requirements.
The project to develop the technological prototype of the government work platform will run for 15 months. During this period, Cybernetica will also deliver a comprehensive implementation roadmap and a cost forecast for the full-scale solution.

In 2025, with the involvement of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), the implementation of 31 investment projects was launched. The total value of these projects reached €1.01 billion, and 1,350 new jobs will be created. The largest projects last year were related to bioeconomy, smart energy, high-value-added manufacturing, ICT, and other sectors.
Minister for Economics Viktors Valainis: “Latvia aims to be among the most attractive investment destinations in the region, and LIAA’s results in 2025 confirm this—the Agency has attracted the highest investment volume in a single year in Latvia’s history. It is particularly significant that data from the Bank of Latvia show that in the first three quarters of 2025, the total volume of foreign investment increased by €700 million. This means Latvia can and does compete. Our task is to continue improving the business environment, removing obstacles, and ensuring investors have a clear, fast path from concept to implementation.”

MAN Engines expands its sales and service network in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and entrusts Adampolis, UAB, as its new importer for the Power and Marine segments. Headquartered in Kaunas, Lithuania, the company has been established for many years as an importer of MAN trucks, buses and vans in the Lithuanian market and Finland and has a close-knit network of six locations in Lithuania; the presence in Estonia and Latvia is being expanded in a targeted manner.
As an importer for MAN Engines, Adampolis is responsible for sales, service and spare parts supply for MAN engines for power generation or power and heat generation, for emergency power generators and engines for workboats and yachts in the aforementioned markets. The Klaipėda liquefied natural gas (LNG) reloading station, operated by international terminal operator KN Energies, closed 2025 with record results. Over the year, the highest number of LNG trucks since the start of the station’s operations was loaded, while a record number of small-scale LNG carriers was handled at the adjacent jetty. December 2025 was also record-breaking, both in terms of loaded LNG trucks and received LNG carriers.
In total, more than 1.8 thousand LNG trucks were loaded at the Klaipėda LNG reloading station in 2025. This accounts for more than one quarter of all LNG trucks loaded since the start of operations in 2017 (nearly 6.4 thousand in total). In December 2025 alone, 277 LNG trucks were handled — more than twice the average monthly volume of the past three years.

Global beauty company L’Oréal announced the launch of its new Sustainable Innovation Accelerator, a new program aimed at investing €100 million over 5 years to find, develop, pilot and scale breakthrough technologies addressing the company’s and industry’s sustainability-focused challenges. Out of more than 1000 applicants worldwide, Estonian company RAIKU Packaging has been selected as one of just 13 companies to join the L’Oréal Sustainable Innovation Accelerator, with an acceptance rate of 1%.
RAIKU has developed a 100% natural packaging material that offers luxurious aesthetics and excellent shock absorption. The material is one of the lowest carbon footprint materials in the world as the company has brought to the market a radically more efficient production process than traditional industries reporting over 90% resource reduction.
